My Beauty Diary Sheet Masks

My Beauty Diary Sheet Masks

I have LOVED My Beauty Diary Sheet Masks since I first discovered them years ago. The sheet masks are very high quality and loaded with amazing serums. The Black Pearl Brightening Mask has long been my favorite. I even featured them in my Face Gadgets: Winter Skincare blog post!

My Beauty Diary has tonsssss of choices for all of your skincare needs. If you’re unsure of where to start, this variety pack can help you figure out your favorite!

Mexico Cactus: Rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, it’s meant to soothe and hydrate dry, irritated skin. Mexico cactus has a thin, watery serum. It makes my skin feel slightly sticky, but very plump and moisturized. It also has very little fragrance; a bonus for those of us with sensitive skin.

Royal Pearl: My mom used pearl cream to keep her skin bright and luminous. (She has AMAZING skin, by the way.) Royal Pearl has the same baby powder smell as her cream in sheet mask form. Although it will never beat out my beloved Black Pearl, it does brighten the skin and soften it.

Natto: Derived from everyone’s favorite stinky fermented bean, Natto is supposed to firm and lift the skin while providing hydration. The serum feels quite similar to actual natto slime (sans the smell). Although I can’t attest to its firming properties, my skin did feel soft and moisturized.

Red Vine: This mask is loaded with the same antioxidants and tannins as real red wine to firm the skin and boost circulation. I will say that it smelled of grape juice and hydrated my skin just enough. This is nice for the warmer months but basically useless for Vegas winters.

Hyaluronic Acid: A very powerful humectant (a.k.a. moisture-binding ingredient), hyaluronic acid keeps skin plump and hydrated. The serum in this mask is very watery, but absorbs well into the skin to keep it soft and supple. It’s not greasy at all, making it ideal for pre-makeup prep or warmer months. It also has a light soapy smell.

Squalene: This mask is rich in Squalene, a skin-restoring emollient and antioxidant. It improves your skin’s moisture levels while healing it. The thick serum has a vaguely fruity smell that kept my skin moisturized and bouncy throughout the duration of a 4 hour flight.

Imperial Bird’s Nest: The use of swiftlet’s nest is meant to hydrate, heal, and brighten skin. The rich, lotion-like serum has a faint vanilla scent and is perfect for the dry and cold winter in the desert. Although I don’t have any noticeable fine lines, I do notice a plumpness to my skin.

Black Pearl: My absolute favorite, Black Pearl is a great skin multitasker that brightens, hydrates, and firms. The serum is slightly watery and leaves the skin slightly sticky. However, my skin stays hydrated even in dry Vegas winters and it gives my face a lovely glow.

Damask Rose: The plant extracts in Damask Rose are meant to brighten your skin and refresh it. Although I’ve never noticed significant brightening with this mask, the rose scent of the watery serum is my favorite and my skin always feels so soft after each use.

Aloe Vera: How could you go wrong with this one? Aloe vera is a favorite for soothing and healing skin. I like to use this one on the fiancé, who has very sensitive skin that is prone to dryness and irritation. This slightly thicker serum works wonders to soothe and hydrate his skin.
