COSRX Triple C Lightning Liquid

IMG_0498

I’d like to introduce my newest holy grail vitamin C: COSRX Triple C Lightning Liquid. This exclusive serum boasts 20.5% pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and 72% black chokeberry, a special ingredient that stabilizes the high concentration of vitamin C to make sure skin remains hydrated and smooth. Needless to say, I love it.

I’ve been using this serum for nearly 6 months. I wanted to use the whole bottle to be certain that it was actually worth raving about. There is still some left, but I’m certain that this stuff is magical. (Aside: There is SO much product in this bottle. I use more than the recommended amount, and I’m still having trouble finishing it.)

Upon first impression, Triple C is watery and odorless. I didn’t notice it doing anything to my skin the first few times. It’s not very effective for hydration since it’s such a watery product. I’d read reviews that it may sting a bit if you’re not used to using vitamin C. I’ve been using vitamin C serums for years, so I didn’t experience this.

It didn’t have any effect on the appearance of my skin until 2 weeks after first use. I’m very prone to hyperpigmentation, and Triple C helped lighten some scars that I’d had for months. One month after first use, and my stubborn scars from months ago had almost completely faded away! Six months later, my skin is soft, bright, and smooth even when I forget to exfoliate properly for weeks. Triple C is a pretty effective exfoliator on its own.

Have you tried Triple C Lightning Liquid? What is your holy grail vitamin C serum? I’d love to try it out!
